The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Assessment (CAPA), developed in 1986 by A. Angold, A. Cox, M Prendergast, M. Rutter, and E. Simonoff, is a parent and child interviewer-based structured diagnostic interview for use with children aged 9 to 17. The CAPA offers modules for the diagnosis of the full range of common psychiatric disorders.
The CAPA has been updated repeatedly by our team since 1986 and has been updated with DSM-5 criteria.
