In the Duke Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program, we’re proud that our fellowship graduates have attended international medical schools and hail from diverse backgrounds, come to us with a broad range of experiences, and hold a variety of perspectives. We celebrate the lived experiences of our fellows, and our learning community is enriched by our similarities and differences.
We’re also committed to serving the children and families of Durham, NC, and surrounding areas, who reflect a broad spectrum of cultures, experiences, and backgrounds. We are committed to training the next generation of child and adolescent psychiatrists as leaders in compassionate care for all patients. Our fellows strive to deliver equitable care and serve as advocates for our patients.
Our curriculum includes seminars and case discussions on on cultural competency, bias, and health disparities, and we provide fellows opportunities to advocate for the community we serve.
