Community Psychiatry

The Duke/UNC Community Psychiatry Track and interest group is dedicated for trainees at both institutions who are interested in and pursuing a career in community and public psychiatry. The program started in 2025 with inaugural trainees representing the two psychiatry programs here in the Triangle. The track aims to serve our most vulnerable patient and community members, often patients with severe mental illness.

The track includes quarterly interest group meetings open to all who are interested in learning more about how psychiatry can impact of the communities that we serve.
