Interests & Career Goals

My interests include working with children that have neurodevelopmental differences, such as autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. My long-term career goal is to become a child/adolescent clinical psychologist at an academic medical center. I would like to participate in both clinical and research work as well as teaching and mentoring.

Favorite Pastimes

I enjoy working out, baking desserts, and listening to music. I love exploring new places, trying new things, and hanging out with friends for activities and game nights.

Why I Chose Duke

I chose Duke because it was an outstanding fit for my training goals, offering multiple opportunities to continue to develop and strengthen my skills in both clinical work, research, and supervision. I was drawn to Duke’s premier client care and knowledgeable faculty as well as the emphasis on depth and breadth across training experiences.

Research Interests

My research focuses on addressing behavioral and social difficulties experienced by children with neurodevelopmental disorders and identifying caregiver experiences when parenting their children with these diagnoses. I aim to apply my findings to ensure children and their caregivers receive the best possible assessment and treatment services. I also am interested in examining effective adaptations to current treatment protocols to best fit the needs of neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers.
