Interests and Career Goals

I have a broad range of interests in psychiatry and I am looking forward to narrowing my career goals as I progress in residency. My interest currently include public and community psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, correctional psychiatry, mental health advocacy and policy reform. I am also invested in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and partnerships to help address mental health disparities.

Favorite Pastimes

I absolutely love dancing; I like to teach and attend Zumba classes. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and meditation.

Strengths of the Program

After interview day, I remember saying, "This is a place where I can be my authentic self and grow in every aspect of my life". This remains true. The program is diverse. We are vulnerable with one another and I feel a sense of community and family. Resident wellness is prioritized and everyone is extremely supportive.

Areas of Prior Research
