Duke Awards
- Three faculty members won School of Medicine faculty awards:
- Melanie Bonner, PhD – Excellence in Professionalism Award
- David Madden, PhD – Career Mentoring Award in Basic and Translational Science
- Joseph McClernon, PhD – Career Mentoring Award in Clinical Research including Population Health Research and Data Science
- Shannon Coats, MD, MPH, Adam Howard, MD, Abdelrahman Ibrahim, MBBS, and Julia Rothschild, MD (psychiatry residents) received Appleseed Awards, which honor the interns and residents in each program who best exemplified excellence in the education and mentorship of second-year medical students.
- Andres Fuenmayor, MD (psychiatry resident) received the 2024 James H. Carter, Sr. Community Service Award.
- Kim Johnson, MD, is a member of the research team ("iMIND") who won the 2024 Michelle P. Winn team award for their unique, multidisciplinary approach to enhancing equity and diversity in clinical trials and medical education and training.
- Neil Naik, MD, received the Duke Raleigh Provider Excellence Award.
