Duke Health Preparing for Baby Class

  • Prepare for your growing family with instruction from Duke Health nurses who specialize in labor and delivery and caring for your new baby. These classes are available online and in person. 

HealthySteps

  • The HealthySteps Specialist supports families with infants and toddlers as a member of the pediatric primary care team. Parenting can be tough. The HealthySteps Specialist works alongside families to be sure they have the support they need to nurture healthy development and well-being for their little one and prepare them for school and life.

Book Harvest

  • Since 2011, Book Harvest has provided more than 2.2 million books to families, ensuring that parents have the tools and power to ignite and strengthen their children's literacy.

Durham Mothers Club 

  • The Durham Mothers Club is a support network for moms in Durham, North Carolina and surrounding communities. The club was founded in 1988 with the motto of "Friendship - Support - Education."

Fatherhood of Durham

  • Fatherhood of Durham strives to be a program that provides strength based, family driven, individualized, and community-based services, including employment, education, housing, and referrals to other agencies. Fatherhood of Durham is committed to providing its fathers with quality services. 

Breastfeeding Durham

  • The mission of Breastfeed Durham is to support a more breastfeeding and family friendly Durham by advocating for policies and practices that support breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding, as outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO).
