Interests and Career Goals
Physician-Scientist Track; Clinical interests: child and adolescent psychiatry, consult-liaison psychiatry; Research interests: emergency psychiatry, collaborative care models - particularly with pediatric providers, school-based behavioral health services, syndromic surveillance, public health

Favorite Pastimes
Playing table-top board games, reading (or listening to) fantasy/sci-fi novels, taking walks or hikes with friends and family, watching anime/reading manga, baking vegan treats, and playing tennis. 

Strengths of the Program
The strong sense of community and family-friendly culture is what brought me to Duke. The program is supportive and well organized, communication is timely, and program leadership and administrative staff are warm, welcoming, and easily accessible. The training opportunities here are diverse and world-class.

Areas of Prior Research
Emergency psychiatry, pediatric mental health, school-based mental health. Syndromic surveillance of opioid overdoses, firearm-related injuries, mental illness, and substance use among emergency department visits. Intersection of psychiatry and other medical specialties.
