Interests & Career Goals: My interests include mood disorders, trauma, psychotherapy, and the impact of chronic health conditions on mental health. Tentatively, I see myself working in an outpatient setting providing care to kids and adolescents with chronic health conditions as they navigate identity formation as they balance both physical and mental health.
Favorite Pastimes: I love being active and enjoy shooting hoops, hiking, and biking, and am excited to explore North Carolina. Some other interests include standup comedy, movies, and watching trashy reality TV with my wife. Finally, I am a long-suffering Oregon State Beavers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Seattle Seahawks fan.
Strengths of the Program: I was drawn to Duke's outstanding consult-liaison service as well as their therapy training and fantastic elective opportunities.
Areas of Prior Research: Online depression intervention and prevention programs for teens and young adults
