Dr. Rachel Dew has practiced psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center and Lincoln Community Health Center for 13 years. She is board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, and treats both children and adults.
Since coming to Duke, Dr. Dew has worked on over 70 research studies, the majority in the field of ADHD. Her research focuses around pharmacotherapeutics for ADHD, as well as the intersection of religiosity with health in adolescents. Clinically, Dr. Dew treats ADHD and other psychiatric disorders in patients across the age spectrum. She provides clinical supervision to child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, general psychiatry residents, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, medical students, and nursing students.
Dr. Dew earned her medical degree at West Virginia University. She completed training in general and child and adolescent psychiatry at Wake Forest University, before coming to Duke to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in religion/health research.
