Luma Barreto is a junior at Duke University from Brazil. On a premedical track and majoring in Biology, she hopes to become a congenital heart surgeon–or somewhere along the field of pediatrics and heart surgery. Luma is interested in doctor-patient care in psychotherapy, patient emotion regulation, and analyzing current treatments of psychotherapy. She also wants to promote innovative research in the field of misophonia and be part of the group responsible for pioneering effective treatments.
