Melanie Bonner Promoted to Assistant Dean of Student Services for the School of Medicine

Melanie Bonner, PhD, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, was named assistant dean of student services for the School of Medicine, effective September 1.
 
In her new role, Bonner will facilitate and promote programming and services that facilitate the vision of School of Medicine’s health professions education programs occurring in professional, respectful, and positive learning environments.
 
Working with Jane Gagliardi, MD, MHS, recently named associate dean for learning environment and well-being, Dr. Bonner will collaborate with leaders in the School of Medicine’s health professions education programs and facilitate development of a cohesive plan for and equitable implementation of support services for students to include disability support/accommodations, learning support, and enhanced access to mental health services.
