Beth Glascock, MPA, Joins Duke Psychiatry as Vice Chair for Administration & Finance

Beth Glascock, MPA, joined the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences as our new Vice Chair for Administration and Finance and Chief Administrative Officer on October 1.

Prior to accepting this position, Beth served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and the Reproductive Sciences at the University of California-San Francisco. Throughout her career, she has worked in finance and administration at the University of California-Riverside School of Medicine, the Brain Health Center at the Emory University School of Medicine, and the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Her first venture into the world of healthcare was with N Street Village, a Washington DC housing, mental health and advocacy group for homeless and low-income woman. Her subsequent 15 years of work in academic medicine have afforded her many opportunities to work closely with the research, education and clinical aspects of the enterprise. These experiences and a proven track record of success in academic and clinical finance, human resources and research administration will be invaluable in meeting the departmental goals and objectives.

Beth graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, with a degree in English, and she has a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University.   

When she’s not working, Beth enjoys food shows, traveling and pretending she’s a home decorator. She especially loves biscuits and gravy.
