Allison Taylor Selected for Dean’s Excellence Staff Award

Please join us in congratulating physician assistant Allison Taylor, PA-C, on being selected to receive the inaugural Dean’s Excellence Staff Award in the School of Medicine (SOM).  

The Dean’s Excellence Staff Award recognizes a staff member within the SOM who consistently demonstrates excellence in education, research, patient care, and/or community partnership; lives the SOM values; and goes above and beyond in the performance of their work duties, dedication to the institution, collaboration with others, and contributions to the community.

Taylor, a member of the Division of Child and Family Mental Health and Community Psychiatry, has been at Duke for more than 20 years and has spent many of those years serving Duke patients and the Durham community at the Child Development and Behavioral Health (CDBH) Clinic and the Duke Children’s Evaluation Clinic (DCEC).

Taylor was nominated by her colleagues and recognized by the selection committee for her personal qualities, mastery in building trusting relationships, and steadfast dedication to her patients and to serving the community.

The award will be presented at the 2023 State of the School Address at the Trent Semans Center for Health Education on June 21, 4-5pm.
