Speaker
Adam Naples, Ph.D.
Please join us for the next presentation in our Duke Center for Autism Seminar Series. Our speaker will be Adam Naples, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at the Yale Child Study Center at Yale University. Dr. Naples is a cognitive neuroscientist whose research focuses on the mechanisms of symptoms in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, with an emphasis on effective measurement. His research employs a number of different tools, primarily electroencephalography (EEG) and eye-tracking, but also experimental and behavioral measures, to study how we interact with the social and sensory world. Dr. Naples will discuss his recent research on electroencephalographic and eye-tracking biomarkers in autism. He will describe efforts to develop multimodal biomarkers to measure auditory sensitivities and his work on novel approaches to improve language and biomarker measurement in profoundly autistic children. He will also discuss his work on molecular imaging of excitatory receptors in autism. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - please register in advance at the link provided.
