Interests & Career Goals

My clinical interests lie broadly in behavioral medicine. More specifically, my attention has been focused on chronic pain management and presurgical evaluation for a variety of populations (transplant, bariatric, implanted devices). My ideal career would involve conducting translational research and advocating for patient-centered care in an academic or industry setting.

Favorite Pastimes

I enjoy all varieties of traveling (whether it’s 4 or 4000 miles away), cooking new foods / eating at new restaurants, and spending quality time with family.

Why I Chose Duke

Growing up in the Triangle, I was always aware of Duke’s high quality medical services, research, and training opportunities. My interest in the clinical internship was sparked by a prior intern who had glowing reviews of her experience. After interviewing, I was impressed by the level of integration between behavioral and medical providers and the quality of supervision provided.

Research Interests

I am interested in developing novel therapeutic interventions to enhance psychosocial resilience for medical populations, with an emerging focus on digital health and technology-enhanced solutions. My dissertation research examines the efficacy of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) at alpha frequencies on acute and chronic pain report compared to sham stimulation.
