In the summer of 2020, Duke Health and the School of Medicine launched Moments to Movement, an ongoing initiative to address racism at a structural level in ways that are tangible, impactful and sustainable. The name signifies going beyond passive moments of reflection and becoming more active as we build a movement to make lasting change for our patients, their loved ones and each other.
In the School of Medicine, race equity is a core priority across our three missions—patient care, research and education—and across all of our constituents, including faculty, staff, trainees and students.
