Duke University, Duke Health and the School of Medicine are committed to dismantling structural racism at our institution and in our community, and setting an example for our nation and the world.
In the summer of 2020, Duke Health and the School of Medicine launched Moments to Movement, an ongoing initiative to address racism at a structural level in ways that are tangible, impactful and sustainable. The name signifies going beyond passive moments of reflection and becoming more active as we build a movement to make lasting change for our patients, their loved ones and each other.
In the School of Medicine, race equity is a core priority across our three missions—patient care, research and education—and across all of our constituents, including faculty, staff, trainees and students. Learn more about the School of Medicine's commitment and priorities for dismantling racism.
