Our mission is to help people living with serious illness—as well as their family members and care partners—cope with the symptoms and psychological demands associated with their medical condition.
For the past 20 years, we have been conducting high-quality research to develop and test interventions to improve the ability of patients and their families to manage symptoms and live fully and meaningfully with the challenges they face. We are also involved in training psychologists to provide clinical care for patients and family caregivers.
We work with patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cancer, chronic pain, and cognitive impairment.
We welcome collaboration with other scientists, clinicians, and patients and family.
