Duke Behavioral Medicine has a long tradition of excellence in basic, clinical and translational research. Our faculty develop innovative interventions aimed at improving health and functioning in a variety of patient populations that are tested in well-designed clinical trials.
Duke faculty lead and collaborate with other scientists nationwide in many of the clinical trials that define the evidence base for clinical best practices.
Our research is supported by NIH grants, foundation grants, funding from generous individual donors, revenue from clinical services, and funding from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Duke University School of Medicine.
