Research Interests:
Kevin P. Weinfurt, PhD, is a professor in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine. He holds a secondary appointment as a professor of psychology and neuroscience. He co-leads the Empirical Bioethics Workgroup at the Duke Clinical Research Institute and is co-director of the Clinical Research Training Program (Masters degree offered through the School of Medicine).

Dr. Weinfurt has extensive experience in the analysis of patient-reported outcomes in clinical trials and advanced multivariate statistical analysis of behavioral science data. His interests include the psychology of decision making and the communication of uncertainty; informed consent; conflicts of interest in research; methods for measuring and analyzing patient-reported outcomes; and research design and statistics.
