We currently are implementing clinical trials comparing long-acting injected antipsychotic medications, examining the usefulness of added minocycline in patients with incomplete therapeutic response to clozapine, examining the effects of metfromin and fish oil in mitigating the weight gain and metabolic effects associated with clozapine treatment, comparing once- versus twice-daily asenapine for acute psychotic exacerbations, and testing the utility of novel compounds on persistent negative, positive, and cognitive deficits in schizophrenia.
