Duke Addictions Program (DAP) and Substance Abuse Consult Liaison Program has over 20-year established history of providing evidence based addiction services.
DAP offers a variety of teaching, training and consultation services to enhance the understanding and adoption of best practices for the treatment of addictive and co-occurring disorders. These services range from partial to full as well as multi-day workshops on a range of topics, consultation to organizations to assist with the assessment of current practices using a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis approach, as well as precepting and supervision of individual clinicians in the use of specific skill based treatments such as group therapy, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. The DAP team also uses a teaching case conference model to promote an applied learning approach to learning and applying treatment best practices.
