Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: Duke South Clinic - Food Court
Directions: Get Map

Description: National Depression Screening Day is an annual event that raises awareness about depression by offering free screenings all around the country. Duke Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, in partnership with CAPS and PAS, will have two depression screening sites (location information below) that are open to students, employees, patients, and the general public. These screenings will give individuals access to an anonymous and validated screening questionnaire. Information about clinical treatments and research at Duke will also be available. Walk-ins are welcome at both locations. Please contact Cynthia Jones, MS, LPC (jones106@mc.duke.edu or 919-286-5261) for more information. As a member of the National Network of Depression Centers, the Duke Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences shares the vision of a future in which effective treatment of depression will be integrated, without stigma, into the healthcare system for everyone. Screening sites will be at the Bryan Center (staffed by Duke Psychiatry and CAPS, the Duke student counseling and psychological services program) from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and at the Duke South Clinic Cafeteria (staffed by Duke Psychiatry and PAS, the Duke faculty/employee assistance program), 40 Duke Medicine Circle, Durham, NC, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
